Privacy Policy

Your prayers and reflections are personal and sacred. We built House of Faith to protect them. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and the control you have over it.

What we collect

  • Account information — your email address and basic sign-in details needed to create and secure your account.
  • Profile details — optional information you choose to share, such as your first name, faith background, preferred Bible translation, tone, and areas of focus, so responses feel more personal.
  • Your content — the conversations, prayers, journal entries, and saved items you create while using the app.
  • Usage data — limited technical and activity information used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • Advertising and device data — when you install our app from an ad or interact with our ads, limited identifiers such as your device's advertising ID and standard app or site events (for example, install, sign-up, or purchase) used to measure and improve our advertising. See Advertising and analytics below.

Your data is private

Your content is private to you. We protect it with row-level security in our database, which means each account can only read its own rows — other users cannot access your prayers, journals, or conversations. Access on our side is limited to what is needed to operate and support the service.

AI processing

To generate reflections, prayers, and study support, the messages you send are processed by our AI provider. Only the content needed to produce a response is shared for that purpose. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information you would not want processed by an AI service.

Payments

Payments are handled securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers; Stripe processes your payment and shares only the limited billing information we need to manage your subscription.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your content. We share data only with the trusted providers that make the service work — such as our hosting, database, AI, and payment partners — and with the advertising and analytics partners described in Advertising and analytics below, only as needed to deliver and promote House of Faith. We never share the contents of your prayers, journals, or conversations for advertising.

Cookies and authentication

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. These are necessary for the app to function. We also use a limited set of advertising and analytics technologies to measure and improve our marketing, described in Advertising and analytics below. We never sell your personal information.

Advertising and analytics

We advertise House of Faith — including through Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — and we measure how that advertising performs so we can reach the people it genuinely helps. To do this we use Meta's business tools:

  • On our website — the Meta Pixel and Conversions API record standard events, such as viewing a page, creating an account, starting checkout, or completing a purchase, and send them to Meta. Where you provide it, contact information such as your email address is hashed (irreversibly scrambled) before it is sent, along with technical data such as your IP address and browser type.
  • In our Android app — Meta's Software Development Kit (SDK) is enabled. It automatically logs standard app events (for example, app installs and purchases) and collects your device's Google Advertising ID so that Meta can attribute installs from our ads and measure their performance.

Meta uses this information to measure and optimize our ad campaigns and to show you more relevant ads, including re-engagement (“retargeting”) ads. Meta's own handling of this data is governed by its data policy. We do not sell your information, and we never send Meta the contents of your prayers, journals, conversations, or profile.

Your choices

  • On Android — open Settings → Google → Ads to reset or delete your Advertising ID and turn off ad personalization.
  • On the web — manage this through your browser and device advertising settings.
  • On Meta— review “Ad preferences” and “Off-Facebook activity” in your Facebook or Instagram account to control how your activity is used for ads.

Deleting your data

You are in control. You can delete your content and your account from your account settings at any time. See our account deletion instructions for the steps and retention details. When you delete your account, we remove your associated data, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal, security, or billing reasons.

Children

House of Faith is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service grows. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
